CherryHill Orchards Blossom Festival 2025 – A Magical Spring Day Out
If you’ve ever dreamed of standing beneath a sea of white blossoms, the CherryHill Orchards Blossom Festival is where you’ll find it. Each spring, the orchard in Wandin East throws open its gates, inviting visitors to wander through rows of blooming cherry blossom trees in Melbourne (or one hour out). From 24 September to 5 October 2025, the orchard transforms into a living postcard – and trust me, it’s just as magical in person as the photos suggest.
I head along with my family, and the sight of the blossoms in full bloom really is breathtaking. It’s not just about the trees either – the festival atmosphere makes the day feel special from start to finish.

- Entry to the orchard with access to thousands of blossoming trees
- On-site tastings (the cherry beverages are a highlight!)

Our Tips for Visiting
- Pick your day carefully. Weekdays are quieter, and weekends bring more entertainment.
- Bring a camping chair or picnic blanket. We love sitting beneath the blossoms to enjoy lunch.
- Leave time (and budget) for extras. We can’t resist a cherry ice cream, and there are photography packages if you want a professional keepsake. You can also order products online, like their cherry juice, and pick it up on the day.
- Don’t stress about kids. The kids’ hub and open space make it easy to relax while they explore.

Blossom & Ballooning (24 September – 5 October)
For something truly unforgettable, combine two of Victoria’s most iconic spring experiences with Blossom & Ballooning. Start your morning with a breathtaking sunrise hot air balloon flight over the Yarra Valley with Global Ballooning, drifting peacefully above rolling vineyards and patchwork countryside.
After landing, head straight to CherryHill Orchards to wander among the white cherry blossoms in full bloom. It’s a chance to capture picture-perfect photos and enjoy the Blossom Festival from a whole new perspective – both above and below.
