What to Expect in 2025

The Gluten Free Expo will feature a fantastic lineup of exhibitors and food vendors, ready to tantalise your taste buds. Attendees can sample a wide array of gluten-free products—from baked goods and snacks to beverages and ready-made meals.

Many vendors will offer exclusive show specials, making it an excellent opportunity to stock up on your favorite gluten-free items. And all ticket-holders receive a goodie-bag upon entry packed with food ideas and samples to take home.

The Gluten-Free Expo Education Stage

Beyond the food, the expo boasts a dedicated Education Stage where expert dietitians, medical practitioners, chefs, and authors will share insights on managing coeliac disease, the latest research, and tips for easy gluten-free cooking.

It’s a chance to learn firsthand from those at the forefront of gluten-free living.

Our Experience

We attended last year and were thoroughly impressed by the range of vendors, from household names to small-batch makers with big stories.

Many stalls offer free tastings (always a crowd-pleaser!) and exhibitors are incredibly generous with their time, keen to chat about their products, their gluten-free journey, and the challenges – and triumphs – of running a specialist business.

Diane, who’s been to the expo a few times now, summed it up beautifully:

“What I love most is the sense of community – you’re surrounded by people who get it. Plus, it’s the one place I can try looooooads of tasty samples without constantly asking what’s in them!

And then there’s the chance to discover and purchase new products you won’t always find at the local supermarket.”

If you’re looking to stock up your pantry, meet others on a similar journey, or just enjoy a delicious day out with peace of mind, this Gluten-Free Expo is well worth a visit.

Getting There & Accessibility

The Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre is centrally located in South Wharf, easily accessible by public transport, bike, or car. The venue is fully accessible, with ramps, lifts, and accessible restrooms to accommodate all visitors.

Tips for First-Time Visitors

  • Bring a reusable shopping bag or trolley: With so many samples and products to purchase, you’ll want something to carry your goodies.
  • Stay hydrated: While there will be plenty of food, it’s a good idea to bring a water bottle.
  • Plan your day: Check the stage schedule in advance to catch the talks and demonstrations that interest you most.
  • Arrive early: Popular stalls can get busy, so arriving early can help you beat the crowds.
