Diane’s Experience

I hadn’t been to Chadstone for many years, and honestly, it just keeps getting bigger and bigger! You’d need a whole week to explore it properly. This new food precinct is fantastic — it really does have everything.

I tried the AI recipe tool with help from a very friendly concierge who talked me through it. I’m coeliac, and I was able to include that in the notes, along with my preferences. I chose Italian and salmon, and within seconds it gave me five unique gluten-free recipes to try!

There was a little hiccup with the QR code, as my phone wasn’t set up to download PDFs, but they were able to email the recipes to me directly. I was also told they’re planning to install a printer soon so you can get a hard copy on the spot, which I think will be a great help.

Market Pavilion Dining Laneway

The dining laneway next to The Market Pavilion is a great spot to take a break — whether you’re after something quick or feel like sitting down for a proper meal.

We are excited to see Brunetti Oro there, with its classic Italian cakes, hot coffee and beautiful little pastries (perfect with a cappuccino).

Just across the way, Amalfi Fresh Pasta is busy when we visit — and no wonder. Alongside their ready-to-eat meals and handmade pasta dishes, they also stock a range of Italian groceries, fresh pasta and sauces to take home. Their handmade pasta is cooked to order, and the sauces smell amazing. You can order at the counter and take a seat nearby, which makes it easy if you’re in the middle of a shopping day.

There’s a good mix of choices throughout the Market Pavilion Dining Laneway. From sushi and salad to hearty pasta, wine bars and woodfired pizzas — no one’s going hungry.

Getting There: Public Transport & Parking Tips

The Market Pavilion is located inside Chadstone Shopping Centre, but finding your way there can be a bit of an adventure the first time.

If you’re taking public transport, several bus routes stop directly at Chadstone — including the 624, 625, 742 and 900 SmartBus from Caulfield or Oakleigh Station.

For an even easier trip, the Chadstone Shuttle Bus runs free services from Federation Square and Chadstone’s surrounding suburbs on select days. Just check the timetable online before you go.

Driving? The most direct way to access The Market Pavilion is to park in Car Park A, closest to the Coles and Colonial Fresh entrances. From there, follow the signs or use the Chadstone Centre map — the Pavilion is tucked just near the fresh food retailers.

Fresh Food Parking bays are also available for quick visits, perfect if you’re just dropping in for groceries, grabbing something from the pharmacy or need to pop by the bank.

Look out for signage for “Market Pavilion” once inside — or better yet, ask one of the centre’s helpful concierge staff. They’ll point you in the right direction or even give you a printed map if you’re feeling a bit turned around.
